Ocean Grove cottage. Isn’t she lovely?  Blogfinger photo ©

You can get $130 per night rental on Airbnb for this little house.   The cottage might be worth $325,000.  It gives a new incentive to buy such a comfy place. OG cottages are continuously coveted for their cozy presence—very good for a single person, but now, as a rental, there is more to this than meets the eye.

Note: There is no indication that this cottage is for sale.  Tell us the exact address and win a genuine OG car (or fridge) magnet, made in the USA with outdoor vinyl.  For sale at Gingerbreads.

The winner of our name that jewel contest is Danielle Murray.  She can receive her prize by emailing us with her delivery address.

There used to be a one story cottage at this location according to a neighbor who was reading on his porch next door. The lot is, supposedly, a standard 30 x 60.  The new house sits framed tightly on either side with the neighbors.  Now, he says, the sunshine on his home will be blocked.

We asked him if there were any objections to this site plan.  He said that “hearings” were held, but he didn’t attend.

So now this house is  shaping up to be a gorgeous Victorian home.  It may be squeezed between two adjacent houses, but so are many OG houses.

This is the sort of new construction which should be planned for the North End of Ocean Grove. Congratulations to the designers and developers of this property.

Humperdinck is now getting on in years, but  he put on an enjoyable show, reminiscing about his old friends such as Dean Martin and showing videos from his glory days.  He had so many hits over the years that he probably could have done ten shows without repeating a song.

He chatted with the audience including complimenting the GA’s  “air conditioning” as he took of his jacket and opened his silk shirt.

We went  with a bunch of our closest humpernickels, and everyone was amazed at how good Engle’s voice still is.  He evidently has lots of fans.  They were  on their feet cheering his music.
