Snow will end in the Neptune area by mid-morning..

Snow accumulations will be about 2 inches in Neptune.  The maximum amounts of 4 to 7 inches will be down in extreme southern NJ.

The potential for heavy snow amounts with this storm started to unravel on Saturday and by late morning on Sunday it was very apparent that the storm would be shunted to the south.  There were a lot of forecasts that were slow to reduce totals.  Specifically for the Neptune/central NJ area, there was zero support by Sunday afternoon for the 6+ inch totals that were being forecast yesterday afternoon and last night.

The main story today will be the bitter cold as temps drop into the teens…which is 25 degrees below the normal highs for March 3rd.  Near record lows will occur tonight and temperatures will remain below freezing until Thursday.

There are also multiple storm chances between now and mid-March
