From Jean Bredin: “One of my favorite movies is Pee-wee’s Big Adventure. The plot revolves around Pee-wee’s customized vintage bicycle which was stolen.
“His bike had doodads, gizmos, whistles, horns, and could fly! Well, this bike has no doodads or gizmos, but it is beautiful nonetheless…and fits right into Ocean Grove’s charm.”
THE DIAMONDS:
The best bike ride I ever had with the Spring on the front fork.
I had a Schwinn Road Master bike in the 1950s. Mine was green and cream color with stripes. The most curious thing was the brake signal. This was a rear light that was activated by a ball bearing rolling uphill when you halted. This was traded in for another bike in 1964 when I went to college. Apparently, it was something of a collector’s item by then.
So beautiful, I’m in love.
