In 2012, Charles Layton posted a piece on Blogfinger about the opening of the Showroom Cinema. See link below.
It was such a great idea to have an art-house cinema within walking distance of Ocean Grove, and many Grovers did frequent the venue, a place where movies could be seen that were often not shown elsewhere.
But now that business in Asbury and Bradley Beach will be closing due the COVID side effects on businesses.
This from the ShowRoom owners:
Hello Everyone:
We wanted to let you all know it is with great sadness that we announce ShowRoom Cinemas will not be reopening in Asbury Park or Bradley Beach. Unfortunately, we can no longer sustain the indefinite and uncertain future that the movie theater industry faces here in NJ and throughout the world. It’s been a great 11 years and we want to thank all our loyal staff and guests who have our graced lobbies over this time. Be well, stay safe. Until next time,
Mike and Nancy
