Leica cameras took years before coming out with digital cameras. I bought my first in 2009. (M-9). I loved the color. Then, one day about 8 years ago I was crossing an OG street when it slipped off my shoulder and landed on Mt.Tabor Ave.
But Leica cameras are built like tanks. I sent it back to the company where they found no damage. But the company had previously found some flaws in their M-9 sensors, so they changed the sensor for free. It still is fine, and the color is still special.
But now I am mostly doing black and white with a specialized Leica monochrome camera. The M9 reappears when I want color, as on Labor Day or the July 4 parade.
