THE CITY OF PRAGUE PHILHARMONIC ORCHESTRA. “Octapussy—All time High” From the collection of music from the James Bond films.
It is now 2026, and I have just recalled this remarkable 2018 Blogfinger note from George Tice, one of America’s finest photographers.
This is a supreme compliment because George Tice, who published 17 photography books of his images, welcomed me into his darkroom course which was held once each year at the Maine Photographic Workshops. It is because of him that I learned the fine art techniques of black and white darkroom work.
George passed away in 2025, and I have a personally signed platinum print from his book called “Stone Walls, Gray Skies.” If any of you are interested in seeing this print, let me know at Blogfinger@verizon.net

Paul, this is a gorgeous black and white image. I love the warm tones. How did you do it? I know you are no longer in the darkroom, but it’s clear that your darkroom work has informed your digital print making.
And the music from the Bond film is lovely.
