Remember it well. I was living in a town bounded by Routes 4, 17, 46 and I 80; I had a new job, and wanted to get into NYC after a day at home. Highway bus service and the train through town were questionable so I figured [dummy me] the trusty, stick drive Volvo, that got us to the ski slopes was it. Took local roads I knew through various towns until stymied going up a steep hill in Leonia by the cars stuck ahead of me. Really foolish idea.
