If we really want to know the opinions of OG residents regarding permits, we would need to send ballots by first class mail (which can be forwarded to “off season” homes) with self-addressed stamped return envelopes. It might cost a couple thousand dollars. Who will pay for this? Then, where are those ballots going? Who can be trusted to count them?
Otherwise, it might be put on the next November ballot when we vote for politicians.

I do not agree that OGHOA are lackeys of the Neptune Township Committee (and I am not a member of OGHOA). I applaud them (as I applaud you) for not giving up on the permit parking issue despite OGCMA opposition and Neptune Township Committee indifference.

Once again the Home Groaners have done an inadequate job. They sent out the email announcing the forthcoming meeting. They evidently have some inside information because the official Township Committee meeting agenda has not been presented publicly.

The HOA probably has knowledge of the details of the plan, so why aren’t they making it public now instead of letting people like Rob and Stacey think about the proposal without having all the facts.

They should have thought through every detail and question regarding the plan before agreeing with the Township that it is time for a public presentation.

Who designed the plan that will be presented on Nov 27? Is it the same deal as the HOA put forward last time?

And here is our last article about the role of the HOA regarding permit parking:

    https://blogfinger.net/2017/08/13/oghoa-all-over-the-map-on-parking-rewriting-historyfake-news-now-they-want-to-take-credit-for-permit-parking/

And don’t forget that the CMA threatened a law suit over this issue, so maybe they and/or their supporters are behind the groundswell of “no’s” that we see in our opinion poll. Most residents that I know are in favor of a permit plan.

Our polls are just an indicator of public opinion and can be manipulated. This would not be the first time that a group in town with an axe to grind has notified their membership to vote a certain way. The Homeowners should organize a telephone campaign to find out how OG residents feel about a permit plan. They really should go to that meeting with some public opinion data so that an audience packed with “no” voters won’t distort the situation.

Why not make the entire plan available now so that the public can attend that meeting fully prepared? Are we being set up to be steamrolled by the Committee and the HOA at that meeting? And where does the Chamber stand on this. Maybe they are generating some of the “no” votes.

When will the HOA stop being lackeys for the Neptune Committee and instead put Grover residents on top of their priority list.

How many resident stickers would each home be allowed? If you have multiple cars, can you get more than one sticker?

Yes, if there is permit parking on every street.
Would need to see a map of where permit holders can park before deciding if it is worth it pay for a permit. Hoping it is on one side of every street, every block in town.
