Andrew Carnegie, a Scottish-American, built 2,509 libraries around the world, including 1,689 in the United States.  These beautiful buildings can be found near here in Avon, Freehold, Belmar and Long Branch.  The total in New Jersey is 36.

The winner of our “Name That Town” contest is Sue who was the first to guess Freehold.  Thanks to our other guessers (to be distinguished from fressers.)

I believe this building is on Broadway in Long Branch. I once used the front door for an exterior shot in an NYU film I made about 30 years ago.
