- Prohibited Advertising Devices: General advertising flags, banners, pinwheels, portable signs, or similar advertising devices are prohibited under township zoning ordinances (such as § 416.06). [1]
AND: “If you put a sign or flyer on a telephone pole, the fine is “up to $1,000.00.” We don’t know what “up to” means, so you had better keep the big number in mind. The next section makes it clear that you cannot post notices of any type on “any structure, fence, rock etc.
A few weeks ago I noticed a large banner attached to a fence at the back of the Arts Center facing the West Grove Mall.
I wondered about the zoning that would to permit a winter market inside the Arts Center.
You would be amazed if you looked up all zoning and signage rules under “Land Use” in the Neptune rules book on line.
I don’t have the patience to research this, but this market banner from an Asbury operation may actually be legal according to the wise guys in Neptune.
Here is a link to a boring BF post about this from over ten years ago, but don’t worry: You will not be cited by our Blogfinger authorities.
