Mt.Hermon Way. By Steve Mandeville. Jan 22. 8:00 AM:

8;00 am       FROM KEN:
”Equipment has rumbling up and down BROADWAY continuously   (DOZENS of times not be an exaggeration). I fell asleep after 1:00  to the sound of another plow.
This morning a big bulldozer, lights blazing, woke me up at 6:43 am,  and to make sure I did not go back to sleep, came back turning at Pilgrim Pathway heading (the wrong way) for Main Ave.
   ENOUGH ALREADY!!!
Good news is no more accumulation overnight. I need coffee.”
kenWinter storm warning canceled.  Light snow this morning around the area.

8:00 am   ten degrees; feels like -10.     Correction on the parking:   You need to be on the east and south sides.  Reports of windy conditions

8:28  am:    From Kudos:       “Would just like to thank Neptune Township for the wonderful job they did plowing the streets of Ocean Grove…. Kudos to all your hard work and great planning!

“Now to dig out the cars….I do think we might need another run at about 4 today to clear the streets from all the cars being dug out! Since with all this snow there is No where left to put it! lol      Again GREAT JOB TO ALL!”

8:45 am  Steve Mandeville says, “I have never seen snow like that before.”    He says that it is so cold out that the snow blows right back after it is shoveled.

12:24 pm— From Moe Demby, BF reporter:    “Ocean Grove roads are passable, but still snow covered–drive with caution;   Outer roads  (eg Rt 66 and 33)  are clear with the occasional patch of snow;   greater concern is snow melt which is making these roads wet—risk of freezing and black ice.  Major roads  (GSP and NJTPK) are impressively clear and dry.”
