8:45 am Steve Mandeville says, “I have never seen snow like that before.” He says that it is so cold out that the snow blows right back after it is shoveled.

12:24 pm— From Moe Demby, BF reporter: “Ocean Grove roads are passable, but still snow covered–drive with caution; Outer roads (eg Rt 66 and 33) are clear with the occasional patch of snow; greater concern is snow melt which is making these roads wet—risk of freezing and black ice. Major roads (GSP and NJTPK) are impressively clear and dry.”

Sportscardriver — most of the roads are still snowpacked, even Main, although some pavement is showing through there. If you come, be sure to bring a shovel so you can get to your house — there are 1.5-2 foot deep piles at the curb from the plows.
The roads in town are horrible. Drive in Ocean Township & you will see what a good plowing job is. This town’s roads are no different then the side streets in Asbury.
Anyone know the condition of Olin St. Or Main? My car will spin if the tires are rolling on snow instead of pavement. Just wondering if it is worth trying to get into town. Thanks.
As a resident of Ocean Grove, why is there alternate side of the street parking, when they don’t plow to the curb on the north and west side of the roads leaving parking available?
Also, people with snowblowers should learn to use them and blow the snow onto their lawns, not the cars that we spent 45 minutes digging out.

Jay, the Township has really learned its lessons well…the equipment thrown at this snowfall was indeed impressive. A red ball instead of yellow is a must.
