SAM COOKE:     “A Change is Gonna Come” Composed 1964 by Sam Cooke.

Sam Cooke was famous at an early age due to his remarkable gospel singing in church.  Later he transitioned into rock and roll, but his style didn’t change, and he always was concerned about the plight of African-Americans.

“It’s been too hard living, but I’m afraid to die
‘Cause I don’t know what’s up there, beyond the sky
It’s been a long, a long time coming
But I know a change gonna come, oh yes it will”

SAM COOKE:    “A Change is Gonna Come.”  Composed by Sam Cooke in 1964.  Cooke, an African-American,  was a strong advocate for civil rights.

“It’s been too hard living, but I’m afraid to die
‘Cause I don’t know what’s up there, beyond the sky
It’s been a long, a long time coming
