Brian O’Reilly keeps his fingers on the pulse of contemporary music for Blogfinger, and I really liked the  “LIttle Wanderer” video.   It’s funny that this portrayal shows the words when the singer pronounces them all too well.  Unfortunately I sometimes find it hard to understand the lyrics  of many pop songs and wish I had subtitles.

I am also struck by the fact that this theme is so traditional in music and in life, and it points out how certain ideas keep recurring because they are based on common human experiences which go way back in time.

Here is what Brian says about this song:  “Enjoy a story about heart-wrenching distance, and the joy inherent in the reunification with one you love.”

I think we all can relate to that theme and I thought what other music has the same idea and I came up immediately with three;

Puccini’s “Madam Butterfly”

Dean Martin’s “Return to Me”

And Player’s “Baby Come Back” which is below to remind you of their hit song.
