Ocean Grove Jewel: Craftsman style restoration on Mt. Tabor Way.
Posted in Music from the movies, Ocean Grove Jewel Contest, tagged Name the style of this house on October 8, 2013| 13 Comments »
This beautiful restoration was just completed. No detail was left to chance by the meticulous owners of this fine Craftsman style house. This style architecture was popular into the 1930’s. Vince Giordano and the Nighthawks are specialists in the music of the 1920’S and 30’S. This song is from the 1937 movie of the same name; sung by Fred Astaire and danced by Fred and Ginger at the end of the film.

This cottage looks really cozy, and now that we have a cold spell, you might imagine huddling here while the snow falls outside. I bet these people, who have painted their home chartreuse, must be really fun on a snowy night. So, what the heck, Christmas is coming soon, and here are the Puppini Sisters. It’s Christmas in September. —PG

Be the first to tell us the street where this architectural jewel is located. Maybe it’s on the street where you live. Wow: Let’s play that song. This version, below the picture, is by Oscar Peterson from his “Oscar Peterson Plays My Fair Lady.” What the heck, you know the words. —Paul Goldfinger
