Blogfinger.net has been pursuing an interest in outstanding female photographers. The image above is by Caroline Bourdelas, a French photographer being recognized by LFI magazine . Her latest show is called “Exquisite Feelings.”
You might see a similarity to some of Paul Goldfinger’s black and white work shown in Blogfinger.net over the years. There’s the dramatic use of light and yet the subtle reveal of people. It is said that Bourdelas tries to “capture fleeting emotions.”
My work also avoids pretty pictures or landscapes but I also look for emotions, light variations, and story telling.
LFI says, “Bourdelas’ work is ‘inspired by Françoise Sagan’s 1954 novel Bonjour Tristesse. “ “In the process of seeking emotions, she explores the moods and feelings of the protagonists in the famous literary piece of work.”
