This market usually remains open until the Saturday prior to Thanksgiving, but today is the last for this season. Freeze expected next weekend. Tomatoes are the last, and we got an eggplant and some Brussels sprouts. Apples are from S. Jersey. My new iPhone. (v 16 Pro) is finally creating color photos that I like. V 17 is now out, but I have not tested the camera.
I married a farmer’s daughter, so she loves gardening and fine cooking.
Well, I’m just kidding. Her father actually sold women’s clothing at the Garment District in. NYC. When I first met her, her closet in Dumont, NJ was full of sweaters and other fashionable clothes, but back then, in Washington, DC, when we were at GWU she would come to my apartment on Saturdays, escaping her fortress of a dorm where neither her Dad nor I ever got to see her room.
So she would visit me and my room-mate Jim on 16th Street, neighbors with JFK, and make us the only thing she knew how to prepare: roast chicken.
