UPDATE ON NE. (North End–not Northeast) REDEVELOPMENT
The Amended Redevelopment Plan
is on the April 8th Neptune Township Committee Agenda
At this coming Monday night’s 7:00pm Neptune Township Committee Meeting the ordinance approving the amended NE Redevelopment Plan is up for a final vote. On March 27, the Planning Board found that the Amended NE Redevelopment Plan is consistent with Neptune Township’s Master Plan. This will be the last time the Township Committee will vote on this plan – after this vote the plan will go back to the Planning Board for amended site plan review.
There will be time for the public to comment on the ordinance before it is voted on and at the end of the Meeting during the privilege of the floor. We encourage all who wish to still address their reservations and concerns on the Amended Redevelopment Plan to attend this Meeting.
Recently the HOA North End Committee promised on their website to keep on “monitoring” the situation. Gee whiz! It looks like they never could move on and actually condemn the plan. In the history of the world, monitoring never caused results to occur.
From the HOA’s North End Committee: 4/06/24.
“The North End Committee continues to monitor the progress of the redevelopment process, as well as any activity in the North End for potential negative impact on the quality of life in Ocean Grove.
“The members of the North End Committee are Connie Ogden, Carol Woidt, Ann Horan, Mark Kourey and Joyce Klein. The committee is chaired by Joan Venezia.”
The last Neptune official to say, “No” was Mary Beth Jahn.
