I usually have little patience for highly digitalized images. It seems that young photographers are forever looking for some spectacular digital effect which would define something new.
If you know my work, I am a traditionalist, usually in monochrome.
Zhu is from Shanghai, and his Google pictures show a blend of old and new.
This image is striking and incorporates vivid colors and flashes of reality. So I do like it.
I borrowed it from LFI Magazine. (Leica Fotografie) where they are showing this photo under the heading of “Picture of the Week”.
Zhu and I both use Leica digital cameras.
