Southwest Florida report.

Sanibel Island Farmers Market. 2018. Paul Goldfinger photo.

As many of you know, we have spent winters in Ft. Myers, Florida.  Nearly 500 units were destroyed in our Tropicana Park by hurricane Ian in September 2022. It was a total loss.

We are having a new place built, but it is very slow since the entire Tropicana Park is being re-done including all infrastructure—ie sewers, water, electric, etc.  All the homes will be built from scratch in factories.  (manufactured homes.). It is an amazing concept.

They have a new name. Contact us for more info. Blogfinger@verizon.net.

That’s why we haven’t been sharing our photos of the farmers’ markets down there and other activities as well.   Ft. Myers Beach looked like the atom bomb had been dropped.  The entire region is coming back slowly including nearby Sanibel Island  (see photo above.)

But I have documented life styles there in the past and I will continue sharing those images.
