It’s 13 years after the 2010 snowstorm in Ocean Grove. Rachel and her two daughters live near us at the North End on Mt. Tabor Way, near Wesley Lake.
I’m walking along Asbury Avenue today when I bump into Rachel who is carrying a baby in a carrier as she approaches her parked car.
We say hello and have a brief chit chat.
Then Rachel says, “Diid you know I had another child ?”
Me: “No.”
It’s a boy, and she is carrying him. He is peeking out from under his blanket.
Me: “How old is he?”
She: Wesley is one month old.
Me. So you are parked by Wesley Lake and his name is Wesley?
Rachel smiles and says, “Yes.” Then she says, “We’re going now to visit his grandparents.”
“Bye”.
Another Grover has arrived to lower the average age in OG.
My grandson Noah was also born when living in the Grove.
This is the “OG Underground” coming to life in this small town with more and more children to cheer us up.
Here’s a fine song for the the girls to sing to their new brother, but without the British accent. It’s the cast of Oliver.

Ocean Grove has seen big snow storms before. This one was in 2010. —PG
