The eager egret; just walking in the rain.

This shore bird from Sunset  Lake was traveling south to Florida, nearing the Delaware Bridge when it heard the weather report of Ian.  So Big Bird  made a U turn and returned tp Monmouth-land.

Of course, the bird could have flown to Spain for the winter:
