July 23, 2022 by Blogfinger

Metropolitan Museum of Art. Winslow Homer exhibit ends on July 31. Jean Bredin Photograph. 7/22/22.

Jean says, “I took a trip to the Metropolitan Museum of Art to see the Winslow Homer exhibit. It is so inspiring to see so many of the artist’s paintings on display; each one just taking my breath away.”

This is the “Gulf Stream.”  Oil on canvas. Homer often painted subjects in the Tropics and he was impressed by the power of the ocean.

RENEE FLEMING AND GARRISON KEILOR. “Hard Times Come Again No More.”  By Stephen Foster 1854.
