| The C.D.C. said it was changing its advice because of a steady rise in infections over the past month, coupled with “a steep and substantial increase in hospitalizations for older Americans.”
PG: Mask assurance means that if you are indoors in a crowded situation, even if you are wearing a mask, which you should do, it would be best if others there are also wearing masks. Masks reduce the transmission of infected droplets. At least 10 companies are racing to bring out better designed and more effective masks.
