Eileen bought a tea pot. On the carton it said “An American based company” Next to the slogan was an American flag.
On the bottom of the box it said, “Made in China”
This labelling is a cynical attempt to tap into the patriotism of America’s consumers. Let’s not misuse our language.
But sometimes it’s hard to tell if “Made in America” can apply because of sourcing of materials, but at least be honest in labeling.
