The spotlight is now on the Camp Meeting and their policies…

Yesterday, April 26, 2020, we had nearly 1,900 “hits” at Blogfinger.net, and almost all those visits were about the Camp Meeting’s COVID-19 policies  (or lack thereof.)

The CMA’s explanations on their website, Oceangrove.org, are pathetically inadequate and offensive to many of those of us who live in the Grove.

Every day that we post articles about this subject, large numbers of readers will become familiar with the strange behavior exhibited by this organization.  Will their credibility ever be restored?  Reading about their plans makes one want to grab the soap.

We understand that they want to continue their traditions and their “mission,” but the best interest of the public health should be paramount.

There was a time, almost 100 years ago, when the CMA invited the Ku Klux Klan to meet in the Great Auditorium.  But whatever bad  publicity  that might have engendered will be far outweighed by the COVID concerns of 2020.

The spotlight shines on the CMA now.  Will they reconsider or will they go ahead with blinders on?

The mysterious inaction by the OGCMA is mind-boggling.

Perhaps the most scary is the OGCMA’s silence on the issue. Why silence? What are we to conclude by their lack of response to our concerns?

The Township of Neptune’s apparent lack of interest in public safety is notable as well and can only be described as unforgivable stupidity on their part.

It’s time to start making some noise here, in newspapers and anywhere we can get people to listen.
