    Thanks, Paul. I love the osprey cries, followed by whip-poor-wills calling. Hah!

    No, never been to Sanibel, but knew you were in Fla so revised an old Basho haiku for you. Great you can linger in Fla till mid-March. The temp is already mid-Marchian here in the city.

    George Held is a poet and a retired Professor of English. (Queens College.) Among his books are some for children featuring animals. He has a particular fondness for birds. One of his favorite poems is “Osprey” which we will be posting soon.
