Re-post from 2015. “Around Town With Jean:”
“Harry Eichhorn’s Summer Band is a treasure. It is reminiscent of days gone by.
Where else can you hear a rousing song, feel the ocean breezes, then stroll for ice cream?”
–Jean Bredin, Blogfinger staff.

VINCE GIORDANO AND THE NIGHTHAWKS
Hey, you took my picture! I’m located at 4 O’Clock to the conductor, 2nd head to the right of the guy with the “high forehead”, gray T shirt, oval graphics.
Boy, you get around everywhere!
Hat’s off the Summer Band. See them next week at the Great Auditorium.

In case folks out there aren’t aware… Harry has retired from directing the OGSB (he is ‘Director Emeritus’) and is now a member of the trumpet section. Last night’s concert was directed by Birch Wilson, one of four co-directors who have assumed leadership of the band. The other three co-directors are Dennis Eschbach, Doug Grotto, and Curt Morton. We’re having a great season, and we’ll be in the Auditorium next Wednesday at 8pm. Be sure to stop in and give a listen!
