George is stationed on his OG porch 7/3 afternoon watching the cars begin to arrive. By evening, gridlock had begun. Paul Goldfinger ©.
George was enjoying his OG porch this afternoon. His bunting is ready to go. As we walked by he recognized our true identity, and he wanted to discuss the North End Plan. He attended the HOA session where the OGNED duo showed up, and like many who were there, he was wondering about some of the issues, such as his skepticism about an underground garage. He considers the topic of the North End to be very important for the Grove, so he wasn’t pleased with the jokes and tap dancing provided by Wm. Gannon III, the lead redeveloper.
He was hopeful that “something” would be built at the North End, because it has been a barren site for too long.
While we were chatting, St. Paul’s bells began to bong out a hymn. George’s home is nearby, and he has gotten used to the hourly chimes.
George is a retiree who used to work in New York. He loves the town of Ocean Grove; he’s happy to be here full time.
Since George is relaxin’ and not misbehavin’ we have some music for him:
