OGCMA, those wonderful folks who opposed parking permits for residents because it would leave fewer spots for visitors, have a lot of nerve.
For Bridgefest last Saturday they asked residents of Arlington Court (brick condos next to Youth Temple) to move their cars to accommodate the visitors.
The Arlington people did not comply with this request.

I like the action taken by the Arlington folks!
In fact, why don’t the homeowners in OG try to take up as many parking spaces as possible? Maybe it’s time to push back and take control of our streets.
The reasons why the CMA threatened to sue if the Township took up residential parking permits has not been publicly debated.
Bridgefest is a mega-event that occurs one day per year. The CMA has many large events each year, and no other Shore town has anything comparable.
Add to that the Chamber of Commercials’ recurrent events which also are not comparable to other towns and you are left with the “normal” beach town crowds up and down the shore.
So Ocean Grove is unique in the parking and crowding burdens placed on residents.
