THE FAIRNESS DILEMMA IN NEPTUNE TOWNSHIP: Why are the taxpayers of Ocean Grove treated differently than those in another part of town?

September 9, 2018 by Blogfinger

This 2013 post was interesting, coming on the heels of Sandy.  Blogfinger supported the CMA from the start regarding Sandy..

Now, in 2018, we are still puzzled over the relationships of the CMA, the tax paying resident public, and Neptune Township.

It was the same way with “The Fishing Club” at the end of the pier. It was a ghostly thing, that has no people, yet we were all supposed to support it. Crazytown.

The comment that I’ll make is that a marina benefits only boat owners while a boardwalk benefits any member of the public who cares to stroll, bike, jog, sit and gaze upon the ocean. So, to me, a marina is elitist since only a small % of Neptune residents can afford to own and operate a boat while any member of the public can enjoy the boardwalk.
