Editor’s Note:  Centennial Cottage was built in 1874 in a carpenter’s gothic style.  It is maintained as a museum by the Historical Society of Ocean Grove and is open to the public in the summer;  and they have free guided tours.  A Victorian garden adjoins the cottage which is at Central Avenue and McClintock Street. (It was moved to the current location from Cookman Avenue in 1969.)

For more information, call the HSOG at 732 774 1869.    (Credit for this information to Wayne T. Bell, author of Images  of America: Ocean Grove).
