From Bob Bowné reporting from the north end of the Asbury Park boardwalk: ”
“Hi Paul…
“ They have ripped the boardwalk out at the north end of town. All of the boardwalk structure has all been torn out from the south side of Convention Hall, south to the Miniature Golf Course. I would say that it is about one third of the boardwalk. This is being replaced due to structural damage during Hurricane Sandy.
“I tried to make a couple of the photos look like the old postcards……”

Because Asbury Park is a wealthier town than Neptune/OG. They also got much more sand on their beach than we did (check out the GIANT and long mountain of extra sand they were left with.
But if this section was “fixed” post Sandy, and was used all this past summer season. Including hosting and supporting the recent record breaking Zombie Walk. Why is this being suddenly redone?
