MUSIC: Paul McCartney

February 19, 2012 by Blogfinger

“Kisses on the Bottom” is Paul McCartney’s 16th solo studio album. It was released on Feb. 7, 2012. The songs are mostly from another era including “I’m Gonna Sit Right Down and Write Myself a Letter” from which the title “Kisses on the Bottom” is part of the lyric.

The song we have chosen is from Frank Loesser’s “Guys and Dolls” and is a lovely selection called “More I Cannot Wish You.”  “Guys and Dolls” first appeared on Broadway in 1950, but it has had numerous revivals. This song is from the second act where one of the characters tries to persuade Sally that Sky Masterson is really a good guy.   —-PG
