Early Tuesday morning, at about 12:30 a.m., a resident saw two people wearing hooded shirts in Firemen’s Park running from the vicinity of the creche and then down Delaware Avenue towards Wesley Lake. The resident called the police immediately, and three patrol cars arrived within 2-3 minutes. The resident jumped into his truck and went to the other side of the nearby footbridge, but he didn’t see the individuals who had left the scene. Evidently the police did not catch them either. The OG resident stressed that he did not witness those two individuals actually stealing anything. A similar theft occurred two years ago.
