The biggest event of that decade was WWII, but there were nostalgic times to recall as well including the music, movies, hairdo’s, and fashions. Women made the best of a time, during the war, when many materials were in short supply such as nylons.
It was the big band era, and all the big bands had vocalists–men, women and groups. Here is “You Made Me Love You” with the trumpet of Harry James.
