We are birders–watching via our kitchen window. We feed the birds suet, seeds. peanuts and fruit. When the birds don’t shop for 1-2 days, we suspect that there is a hawk in one of our big nearby trees. Ospreys hunt for fish. In 2013 we had a similar bird: see link below:
