Eileen. Virginia Beach, Va. Paul Goldfinger portrait.

I was stationed as a cardiologist at the Portsmouth Naval Hospital. We were transferred after 5 years of residency  in New York City. Eileen taught in Spanish Harlem.     We had two little boys and we found a cute townhouse in Virginia Beach.  Most of the families were Navy.   Eileen loved her kitchen which looked out at the front yard.  I drove my new Triumph Spitfire to work every day.  The plant in the photo was her first garden.

We loved New York, but this was something special for so many reasons.
