Coney Island, c. 1938.

From the Demby  family album: Jean (L), Marty, Myrna. c. 1938 Coney island.    They  are all gone now.  Paul’s mom is aloft.  Marty served in WWII and survived.  Jean, Marty’s mom, was widowed early and never remarried. She and Mom were sisters–2 of  9 Demby siblings–Bayonne,  NJ.

    Coney Island and Asbury have much in common. Tillie icon started in Coney .

    Now if only Asbury had an amusement park, Cyclone roller coaster, Nathans hotdogs and an aquarium .

    AC is next Asbury me thinks.
