Our steam heat furnace shut down, and our house temp began to plummet. We were worried as the temp fell to 59. What to do? We had a few small heaters. The gas company provided no help. They said, “Call your HVAC!”
We called All Phase, and Sean called right back. He could not get out to rescue us. But he patiently guided us as we fiddled with the furnace and electricity while he looked on with “FaceTime. “ Thank goodness that all 3 of us had Apple phones. But nothing worked. Just call us “Coldfinger.”
He began to say that he would try to find someone with a pickup truck for after our streets are plowed. The reassurance helped keep us calm.
Then: a miracle! As the three of us tried our best, the boiler abruptly came back on, no thanks to us. It seems that we were pushing too hard with the heat when it turned itself off to recover, and then it came on again.
Thanks to our guardian angel: Sean of All Phase. And the heat felt so good, but what if the heat stayed off? Where could we go?
So now we are feeling “warm” and maybe we will have a hot time tonight.
Here is Mississippi John Hurt with. “Hot Time in the Old Town Tonight.”
A Grover in her ’90’s came out on Monday to walk her dog. She wound up trapped in a snow drift with her dog. A neighbor walking his dog helped her and her dog out out of their snow trap.
A number of young men came out to shovel their cars out. Then they drove off, leaving their work for someone else to use.
