“Antonios Gourmet Italian Specialties” has been in business in Wanamassa, NJ since 2004. It is a family business which originates in Staten Island where they have another store. When you walk into their salumeria you will see a magnificent display of authentic Italian cuisines. These are family recipes. Their cooks have been up most of the night preparing an amazing variety of dishes, all of which comprise a feast for the eyes making it difficult to choose. When you arrive, you will be greeted warmly by their counter workers who are so friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Even the cashier is an expert.
Eileen and I love to go to Antonio’s, and we have never been disappointed. Among our favorite items: baked ziti, grilled chicken fillets, octopus , manicotti, eggplant parmigiana, veal marsala, sausage and peppers, steak pizzaiola and so many more choices.
Their cold subs are excellent, and their “special heroes” come in 3 feet to 6 feet sizes: roast beef, turkey, fried egg plant, chicken cutlet. and more.
They do catering, and you can get half or full trays of foods. Their fresh salads are offered by weight.

Our favorites include egg plant parm, baked ziti. (special order), chicken parm, octopus salad , sliced flat steak, frutta di mare (in season,) Italian breads, broccoli rabe—and really, it’s impossible to go wrong.
