Next Door, from Jim Douglas–OG resident: 11/09/25
“Metered Parking for OG? The Neptune Township Committee, in their Monday meeting, propose to discuss metered parking in OG (on streets in yellow on map). If one lives on a metered street (permanent, not summer resident with primary elsewhere) one may apply for permission to park on their own street free. Seems to make sense? Getting more money from OG for Neptune Township coffers. Consider this: on the northend of OG we see lots of CHEAPSKATES who park free on our streets to go to AP where they would have to pay to park. Now, if they start charging to park on Broadway, Main, Central, Ocean Ave, etc. in OG, you can be certain that CHEAPSKATES will park on nearby streets, maybe where you and I live.”
TOM JONES:

If you own a house on those streets and pay the ridiculous taxes, you better be able to park free even if you have a primary house somewhere else as well.
