Could this be an example of an Eastlake design? Is that Victorian? Has anyone seen such railings before in the Grove? Presumably this was allowed by the HPC.
Thanks, Queen Anne.

The design reminds me of a Breathe Right Nose Strip.
(they work, but they aren’t attractive)
This structure was an illegal two family on a non-conforming undersized single family lot with a leasehold that restricts the use to a single family use.
The question should have been, was this renovated back to a single family house? Or was this renovated into an illegal two family?
If a two family, who gave the legal approvals?
I have no idea, but it is an interesting and entertaining to-the-eye choice. Much better than the cookie cutter faux-Victorian porches that have been approved in recent years. The odd details are the ones that made our town so memorable.
