As many of you know, 2 OG lawyers have brought a suit against OGNED to try to prevent them from implementing the horrid North End Redevelopment Plan. Robert Ignato and Barbara Burns are soliciting funds *to help them fight the OGNED marauders .
In a front page piece today the Coastericans are giving the OGNUTS a chance to sound off about the suit.
Ironically, OGNED complains that Burns and Ignato are suing for their own self interest. That’s rich since OGNED is totally about their own fortune-to-be-made by exploiting the one piece of open Jersey Shore land still available. They will make a fortune producing a project which will do nothing but uglify our town’s North End.
Ocean Grove is a historic residential town known for its quietude and beauty. The OGNEDs have not been pushing this project for nearly 18 years in order to make our town better. If they were, they would never have conspired to violate our historic Master Plan and change the zoning.
According to the Coaster, the OGNUTS argue that their project will bring money into Neptuner coffers. But making money for Neptune is a shameful reason to proceed, and will those imagined funds make a difference to Ocean Grove?
And finally, OGNED has decided that the Grovarian suit is being pursued only to delay the project. Do they believe that diminishing the suit’s motives like this will be accepted by Grovers as believable?
That front page defense by the OGNUTS is as weak-kneed as a spinning piling at the beach.
