Dredging at the east side of the Shark River Inlet bridge. Blogfinger photo January 15, 2025

May 30, 2025 by Blogfinger

Paul Goldfinger photograph.  Blogfinger.net.   This inlet is a favorite of photographers and fisherman.  The bridge across  the  inlet was built in 1937 and is on Route 71 (Ocean Avenue). Over the years it has undergone remodeling and other work, and now, winter ’24-’25,  the Army Corps of Engineers is undergoing maintenance dredging.  The depth of the inlet is kept at 18 feet.  Click once to enlarge.
