Ocean Grove pier. 3/4/25.     Click once to read the signs.  Paul Goldfinger photo. Blogfinger.net.     4:20 pm

After making this pier photo, I turned and walked to  Ocean Avenue.  My car was across the street.  I stood at the open cross walk marking and began to step along the markings.

3/4/25. 4;23 PM

As I stepped forward   I noticed a white van coming towards me heading north  from 2 blocks away.   I thought that he would surely see me and stop,  but luckily I didn’t continue  across the street.

The white van said GANNON on the side facing me  and it blew right by with me standing there looking on in amazement.   He hadn’t even slowed down.

Don’t take any chances when crossing our streets and intersections.  Do not trust anyone.  Always wait until you are 100% sure of your safety.
