In June 1942, at the battle of Midway, US bombs destroyed 4 enemy aircraft carriers. . A Navy pilot cheers after his plane was downed. Later he would be picked up. A number of Navy pilots and sailors won the Navy Cross during those 4 heroic days of June 4-7, 1942 when so many of our finest put their lives on the line. During the Battle of Pearl Harbor, 2,403 were killed and 1,178 wounded.
John Williams scored the music for Midway. During the final credits, a scene plays behind showing Navy couples dancing to live music. Annie Trousseau, a lovely blond, is at the microphone singing, “All Or Nothing At All.”
