Igor Timkovsky and son Aaron were at The Late Show 7/15. He sent us this souvenir. Their seat mates.
New York poet Igor Timkovsky is to return on Sunday, July 28, for a vacation in Ocean Grove, a place that he loves to visit.
So he wrote a poem for the occasion:
“In anticipation of my soon to be arrival in the Grove I was so much inspired last week that I wrote a few lines and was happy I did. Please let me present you with my new poem:”
Air of Grove:
On Sunday I’ll arrive in Ocean Grove. I will inhale air of the sea. Once off the train I will already settle for what was changed and I could not foresee. I’ll do my stroll and breathe this magic air. I will take in as much as I can hold. I’ll walk on Main and I can say for sure. This little town is a piece of gold. I love it, yes, but I do not live here. My goal’s its beach, its pier, and its boardwalk. I spend a week at least and every year I write few lines in lieu of Oh! Wow! talk.
Igor: Oh Wow–yes we will talk on my porch. Thank you for your latest fine and unique poem.
Here is a song by another New York poet—-for you Igor: Paul Simon from his show “Capeman”. Don’t forget this song: It’s called “Quality”
Pass this word onto your wonderful son Aaron for him to keep as he heads off to college.
