Who says you can’t be glamorous and an Auxiliary member, all at the same time?

This group raises money for good causes in the Grove. They are a subsidiary of the Camp Meeting Association. The Auxiliary already had a book sale, but they will have to face up to the question, “Who reads books anymore?” Maybe some new ideas like taking over the Town-Wide Yard Sale or starting a summer food truck festival.
But here’s something else: define auxiliary: “A person or thing providing supplementary or additional help and support.”
Isn’t it about time that they change the name of this group like the Cleveland Indians did, because “auxiliary” is demeaning.
This is the age of women’s empowerment, and this group shouldn’t be considered “supplementary”
Ladies: Tell the CMA that you don’t want to be called “ladies” or “auxiliary.” You should be the “Glamorous Grovarians -by-the-Sea.”
