“Stormy, atmospheric and epic all around”…a fine wedding day

Kris Dodson and Wendy Pruit were married on the Ocean Grove Beach. It was a singular sensation on this stormy Saturday in September. Photo by Jenny Dodson Mistry.  2017.

Hi Paul,

I always enjoy the photos you publish. Thought you might enjoy this one.
My partner of 20 years and I were married on the Ocean Grove Beach Saturday, September 2, 2017.

We travelled from California to the Grove for the event because we have family on Heck Avenue. We love it in OG and we liked the idea of walking to get married on the beach.

As we planned the ceremony months ago, we were a bit worried the beach would be very crowded on the Saturday of Labor Day weekend. As it turns out, we didn’t have to worry about crowds.

The afternoon was stormy, atmospheric and epic all around. My niece took this photo during the ceremony. You can see the fishing pier in the background. Lots of neighbors on Heck Avenue helped us celebrate.

Sincerely,
Kris Dodson

Nice to see that “Ralph” got an invite. Love trumps the weather any day.
